| Joint Genomic Center Ltd was founded as a new company in 2007 as a joint venture between Sofia University “St. Kl. Ohridski” and the Agricultural Academy of Science. In 2007 and 2008 three Ministries – Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Finance jointly contributed 4.1mln leva for the development of the JGC infrastructure having evaluated the potentials of the partnership between Bulgarian life science research and Bulgarian business. |
Since February 2010 the JGC belongs solely to Sofia University.
